Terms of use
Last updated September 2026
These terms cover the Powwow website and free beta app. By installing or using the beta, you agree to use it within the boundaries below.
What Powwow is
Powwow is an adult-led family conversation tool. It gives a parent one question, a Bible verse, age-aware wording, and an optional place to keep what was said.
Powwow is not medical or mental-health care, legal advice, counseling, a church, or a replacement for a pastor or professional who knows your family. Contact an appropriate local professional or emergency service when a situation needs direct help.
The free beta
The current beta is free and is not a subscription. Beta builds may change, stop working, or expire. We may remove a tester or end the beta. We will use reasonable care with each build, but beta software can contain mistakes.
Your archive
The family list, completion history, and saved answers are held on your device unless an adult enables private Family access. Family access keeps a server copy and makes it available only to the adults the household owner authorizes. Your family's words remain yours. We claim no ownership of anything your family says or you type into the app.
The adult who enables or joins Family access represents that they are authorized to store and share that household's content. Invited adults must respect the permission they receive and the family's privacy. A viewer may not change content; a co-owner may use the Powwow but may not manage account access.
You are responsible for exporting anything you want to keep before deleting the app or a household. Export currently contains text, not audio. Beta backup and recovery can fail, so do not treat Powwow as the only copy of something irreplaceable.
Our writing and design
Powwow's original questions, age renderings, explanatory notes, interface, and brand work belong to Powwow. Use them with your family. Do not republish, sell, scrape, or use the library to train a model without written permission.
Scripture quotations identify their translation. The Berean Standard Bible and World English Bible texts used by Powwow are in the public domain. The King James Version is used according to the rights that apply where the app is distributed.
Feedback
You may send feedback, screenshots, and bug reports. Do not include a child's private saved answer. We may use product feedback to improve Powwow without owing payment or attribution.
Warranty and liability
The beta is provided as available and without warranty to the extent allowed by law. To the extent allowed by law, Powwow is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the beta or loss of a local archive. Nothing here limits a right that cannot legally be limited.
